Digital Marketing Internship (non paid)

 

Job brief

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies as well as duties that help you to understand the ins and outs of running a retail store along with it's e-commerce counterpart.

As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with the owners of OAK Apparel & Home in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels. Graphic design for social media channels as well as the website will also be an integral part of the branding that goes behind growing a young business. 

This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies and design tools. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing/branding and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns

• Perform market analysis and research on competition

• Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)

• Prepare and contribute design concepts on promotional campaigns

• Helping with design shoots and contributing to the overall creative strategy and concepts of the store and e-commerce.

• Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)

• Help organize marketing events

• Assist in  social media platforms & working with Social Media Manager on executing posts and overall communication.

• Administrative duties within the store will include engaging with customers, organizing clothes and assisting in display concepts and general merchandising.

Requirements

• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive

• Natural passion for Fashion and Design, with a strong understanding of current trends

• Solid understanding of different marketing techniques (strong understanding of various social media channels)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office

• Background in photography is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom PhotoEditing

• Familiarity with web design (Primarily Wix) is a plus

• Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords)

• Passion for the marketing and fashion industry and its best practices

• Current enrollment in a related BS
